Front Line Workers

“I need to speak to you about the Coronavirus”. Those words were spoken by the Taoiseach Leo Varadkar on the 12th of March, 2020. That first line, from that first speech, would be the start of an exhausting 3 year test of endurance and perseverance. This mural is a tribute to those who gave up the most to keep our country running. From retail and healthcare, to emergency and postal services, we owe all the frontline workers our absolute gratitude. They put the rest of their lives on hold and at risk, as they worked to keep us all safe and well. On behalf of the people of Sligo, Thank You.
