An Old Friend Returns

May 16, 2017sligotown

Our old friend and servant of Sligo W.B Yeats appeared back in our skylines this May opposite the bus and train station. This project was a fantastic example of cooperation between private property owners, organisations such as Sligo County Council, Sligo Tidy Towns and Sligo BID and our fantastic volunteers who really stepped up in the preparation of the new surfaces.

Mullane Plant Hire (MP Hire) also deserve a mention for providing the plant equipment free of charge and artist Nic Purdy.

A new mural was also created which provides visitors with a map of Sligo after they arrive on train or bus.

Well Done Sligo!
